About Ruby
Ruby is a multidisciplinary artist from Serbia exploring the intersection of the human and digital realms, with a focus on the body as a physical manifestation of inner and intimate human states.
She began practicing art and writing poetry at a very young age, exploring various mediums and philosophical approaches, which led to her winning accolades and representing her hometown in a national poetry competition for young talents. After a few years, she participated in several group exhibitions in Serbia. She was later awarded a scholarship and moved to Milan, where she enrolled at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera.
Ruby completed her Master's studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and has since been primarily based in Italy. Her works are held in private collections globally. Ruby has received multiple awards for her art and poetry, with the most significant being the first prize for arts "Pittori e Scultori di Viggiu" in 2022, leading to her first solo exhibition at the prestigious Museum of Fine Arts Enrico Butti in Varese, Italy. Since then, she has participated in several solo and group exhibitions across Europe.
Alongside traditional forms of art, Ruby explores blockchain technology and digital media as a form of artistic expression. She aims to dissolve the human-digital dualism and highlight the relational and emotional aspects of technology and digital art.
Delving deep into the complexities of the human condition, Ruby seeks to transcend boundaries, inviting viewers to question the intersections of psychology, symbolism, and technology. Using traditional and digital mediums, she challenges social norms and intimacy in a rapidly evolving world.
